From a Cairo engineering partner to a self-serve platform
2024: a governance problem, not a talent problem
Remote Pro Ai began in Cairo in 2024 with one observation: most outsourcing failures are governance failures, not talent failures. Clients had capable engineers on paper and no one accountable when delivery slipped. We set out to supply engineers the way a strong internal team works, with the same reporting, quality gates and escalation, on an AI-assisted operating model. Governed Squads™ and GovernOps™ launched the same year. Governed Squads™ is how Remote Pro Ai delivers: every squad runs with a Squad Lead and an independent Governance Officer, so one party answers for delivery. GovernOps™ is the operating layer: weekly reporting, quality gates and service credits, measured against your SOW and applied to your invoice. MatchIQ™ is our vetting and matching engine: 5 gates and 122 role profiles produce a shortlist within 48 hours, and 3.4% of applicants pass.
2024–2025: growing the network
Intake each quarter was capped by the number of squads our Governance Officers could run to standard, so the network grew without lowering the bar: per 100 applicants, 31 pass the screen, 9 the technical and practical gates, 5 the communication interview and 3.4 the background and reference checks (2026 company profile). Our network counts our payroll engineers and our vetted network. Applicants, gate pass rates and specialists added for every quarter since Q1 2024 will appear in the first transparency report, which covers Q1 2027. In 2025 we instituted the SLA index, adopted a written AI-governed delivery policy, began running Gulf operations from Al-Khobar and set up our UAE contracting entity, Remote Pro Ai FZ-LLC.
2026: one brand, one platform, one contract
In 2026 the company launched under its current brand, Remote Pro Ai, with a platform at remote-pro.ai where buyers scope, price, contract and start a team online. The 4-working-day deployment became a term in every Statement of Work. The people, the standards and the accountability did not change.
